[Conference] IASDR 2009

IASDR 2009 is an international design research conference with an intensive and high quality program. This venue will bring together top design researchers and practitioners to build and advance knowledge in the field of Design. It will be held on 18-22 October, 2009 in Seoul, Korea.

Our User-centred design (USD) group lead by Professor Robert Chen will have two papers to brief:

One of these papers is based on PhD outcomes of my colleague's, Wen C.Y. Nivala, which the topic entitled as "The development of a conceptual model in user research using an empathic design technique as the basis for user-centred design". She will brief the paper in the room 307B on 22nd OCT Thursday Morning.

My paper is about the extension of Fitts’ Law for the design of the gesture pointing interaction, which will be briefed in the special section "Design Access in Ergonomics and Interaction" in the room 308C on 21st OCT Wednesday Morning.

Having recommanded by my session chair Professor Fong-Gong Wu and Professor Robert Chen, it is my hornour to act as the paper session chair in the session "Media Design and Mutimedia Technology" in the room 301A on 20th OCT Tuesday Morning.

In addition, both my wife Lynn Hsiao-Lin Fang and my David M.D. Lee will have the poster presentation in the IASDR 2009.
