Now her research encompasses (1) Design Research; (2) Ergonomics; (3) Work-related disorders.
Work Experiences
She has worked as Lecturer in Department of Styling & Cosmetology at Tainan University of Technology (1998-2005). And now she is a PhD researcher in the Faculty of Art and Design at De Montfort University, UK.
Research Area
The research area is based on the Ergonomics and work-related injury in posture analysis among hairdressers. She focuses on the investigation of risk factors to improve working postures in hairdressing jobs for more comfortable situation in working areas. The methods she used are questionnaires, observations and motion analysis.
In this area she published:
2009
* Upper extremity kinematics during the functional activities of a hair-blow-drying task. Poster of International Association of Societies of Design Research IASDR 2009
2007
* An ergonomic approach to an investigation into the risk factors leading to work-related musculoskeletal disorder for Taiwanese hairdressers, in: Proceedings of International Association of Societies of Design Research IASDR 2007, HongKong.
